Fascination for Robots

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, 2 favourite robots from the first Transformers Movie. Yup, giant robots are back again to protect planet earth. I managed to catch Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen over the weekend and boy its so much more action packed and fun compared to the first one. Heroic Autobots fighting the evil Decepticons. Been a fan and watching Transformers since i was young and to make a live action movie out of it is simply amazing.

The new version of the robots looks weird in my opinion. Still prefer the original generation 1 look of the robots. Very nostalgic and gives it a very 'robotic' feel. Some of the characters from the new movie looks like aliens especially the Fallen. And the new Devastator looks like a science experiment gone wrong. Overall, Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen is a movie worth watching. Will get the DVD once its out!

Back in 1938
While cycling the other day, i spotted this on the trail

It looks really familiar. Like a Malaysian version of the Dharma Initiative. There are weird symbols around the logo, symbols of the feet aren't heading in one direction. And the year 1938 doesn't signify anything. Maybe it is 1938 now and we are correcting back things that happened in our life prior to 2009. Probably one day a hatch would appear somewhere and reveal the reasons for all the things that have happened.

I Felt something
Status of project 2: Half way done. Yup, been busy the last few weekends. So here is project 2 which looks more like a multipurpose bag with a zip. This time it's machine sewn and contains a range of blues. Might look better if the width was irregular in my opinion.

Well, well.. here is a set of felts. Wondering what can i do with it.

Birth of a Dragon
While walking in the park the other day, i manage to capture a close up picture of a dragonfly. It was posing and not moving, allowing pictures of it to be taken. Looks amazing!

Back to the main topic of this post, here it is, birth of a dragonfruit plant. Dragonfruit or also known as Pitaya fruit are particularly red-skinned. Yup, the plant looks like a small cactus. Wonder how it will look like it the next coming weeks.

Sew, sew, sew
Tried out sewing a couple of weeks ago and was experimenting on things i could work out from the many cloths available. To my surprise, it isn't something simple. A lot of planning had to be done before working on the actual item. And so came my pencil and notebook for some sketches. After a couple of hours sewing, my first hand sewn item was born..

It's been a good experience working on this small project and the handphone pouch looks great, but the sewing part of it has got to be improved. haha.. more projects in the coming weeks, stay tune
